Check processing works with or without our credit card processing systems and allow you to accept a check from anywhere and know that you are getting a "good" check. We will supply you with a new check processing unit that will scan the check, contact their bank, and withdraw thew funds automatically so no more running to the bank to deposit checks! Simply run the check, stamp it void, and then hand it back to the customer. How much time do you spend a day accepting, totalling, and depostiting checks? How much money are bad check costing you?

Merchants not able to swipe a customer's card through their machine qualify for this "keyed" service. Typically these are phone orders or mail order services. These merchants see a slightly higher rate because there is a higher risk factor when the physical card is not present.

When you decide to use check processing with our credit card processing you can save even more time, money, and liability. Ocellus Merchant Services can network your transactions to give you the best possible rate and lower your liability at the same time. This means that instead of paying a percentage rate and a swipe fee every time you swipe a card we can often eliminate your percentage rate and charge you one low flat rate.

Merchants able to swipe their customer's card at least 85% of the time qualify for a Retail Merchant Account. These merchants get the best possible rate because there is a lower risk factor when the physical card is present. Merchants not able to swipe a customer's card through their machine qualify for this "keyed" service. Typically these are phone orders or mail order services.

Check processing rates are typically $0.25 with a 1.49% percentage fee. Swiped Visa/Mastercard rates are typically $0.34 with no percentage fee when applicable to 1.75% plus a $0.20 transaction fee. Debit Cards rates are typically $0.34.

If a customer gives you a check for $500.00 and you call the bank to see if there are sufficient funds, it does not guarantee that the funds will still be there by the time you drive to the bank and deposit the check. Our systems enable you to process a debit card or a check as if it were and ATM card. You will immediately receive the money from their account and eliminate your risk.
